The Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, Inc. Homeownership Program is closed at this time and will not be accepting applications until approximately September 1, 2021.
The Path to Homeownership
For those interested in becoming a homeowner through Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, there are five key criteria applicants must meet initially:
Must have a need for adequate housing
Must have the ability to pay an affordable monthly mortgage
Must be willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, Inc.
Must have lived or worked in Benton County for a minimum of one year
Must meet the household income guideline requirements
If you meet the five key criteria above, please follow the six steps below:
Contact Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, Inc. to pick up an application or to have a paper copy mailed to you.
You will be asked to contact Credit Counseling of Arkansas to set up a credit review appointment.
As a potential homeowner with Habitat for Humanity of Benton County, Inc., financial services will be made available to you at Summit Wealth Management. You will be asked to set up an appointment with Summit Wealth Management to review your credit report and work on budgeting
Signature & Date
The application must be filled out completely, signed and dated. Co-applicants must sign and date the application as well.
Copies, no Originals
All additional requested information must be included. (copies, not originals)
Applicants must provide a phone number and e-mail address, where they can be reached. If you have questions, please call the Habitat office at 479-335-5970. Once you have completed and submitted the application, the loan originator will determine if you qualify financially. Then, the loan originator will contact you to explain next steps in the process.
You must include all requested information when you submit your application. If requested information is not included, then the process will be delayed.
Please keep in mind, the application process can take 6 months or longer.
