Volunteer
Volunteering with Habitat is an experience you’ll never forget. Our service opportunities don’t require special skills or construction experience, just a readiness to learn new skills, and a willing heart. Opportunities include building homes, working with Habitat families, reaching out to sponsors, or serving on a variety of committees.
Habitat projects are excellent team-building opportunities. Whether you are a long-time Habitat supporter or just recently heard about our organization, you can coordinate your team to volunteer on-site. Our projects involve volunteer teams from companies, service clubs, professional associations, and church groups, among many others.
Join us as we work alongside other community members to eliminate poverty housing in Benton County.
*Please note, if you are volunteering to fulfill required community service hours, please contact our office directly at (479) 335-5970, or let us know in the text area below, so we can properly assist you with the required paperwork.

Admin Offices
The administrative offices handle marketing, external communications, fundraising, grant writing, organization management, and more. Our team often needs volunteers who are interested in updating databases, creating communications calendars, updating sponsor and partner lists, filing, and more. This is a great opportunity for an internship.

Committee and Board Members

Deconstruct
If someone in Benton County decides to remodel a home or other type of space, or if a home is being torn down, our ReStore team, with the help of volunteers, goes into the home and tears out any items that can be resold in the ReStore. We need volunteers to help deconstruct the space and lift and load salvaged items into our truck to be taken back to the ReStore. Deconstruct opportunities are available on an as-needed basis and take place a few times each year.

Donate Food
If you want to support the build, but are unable to volunteer on-site, lunch donations are a great option. We try to feed our construction volunteers each day on the building site and that is only possible because of generous donors like you. You can choose to cook food for the volunteers or cater food from a restaurant.

ReStore Volunteer
The ReStore is a year-round, indoor volunteer opportunity, available Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is Habitat’s retail space where our team takes in donations from the public and resells the inventory. All profits go right back into Habitat to help fund builds and administrative costs. Volunteers at the ReStore can help process donations, load purchases for customers, answer customer questions, clean the store, organize inventory, stock shelves, answer telephones, and more. This opportunity can accommodate a variety of skills and interests.

Youth Volunteer
We appreciate all of our volunteers and do our best to make sure everyone has a fantastic build day. Part of having a great build day is safety. Due to the hazards of construction work, there are some limitations on what volunteers under 18 are allowed to participate in.
Minors 16–17 are allowed to participate in construction work, but are prohibited from using power tools; being on ladders, scaffolding, or walk boards more than 4’ higher than the surrounding area; being on platforms or decks without hand or guard rails when more than 4’ above surrounding area; and being on a roof or participating in roofing. Minor groups participating on a building site must have adult supervision. All minors must complete a liability waiver and have it signed by their parent or guardian.
Minors 15 and under are not allowed on site unless it is to bring food and drinks during the lunch break when there is no active construction. Minors under 14 are not permitted to volunteer on the building site or in the ReStore, due to federal regulation. However, there are other areas of Habitat, besides the construction site, where minors under 14 can volunteer. If you are interested, please fill out the form and one of our team members will be in touch shortly and provide a few other opportunities for involvement.
